“New Arcadians” explores the work of eighteen cutting edge practices working across private and public projects. Recent work by Piercy&Company, including Martello Tower Y, Kew House, Restello, Wakefield Street, The Van and 63 Clerkenwell Road, is explored through a series of drawings, plans, CGI images and photography. Also included is an interview with Stuart Piercy who discusses his early design inspirations and the practice’s design ethos. Bullivant writes of the practice: “in its exploration of each project’s scope for reconsidering, reworking, reinforming and redesigning, [Piercy&Company] has consistently been one of the most conceptually advanced practices of its generation. Its work has extended the theory and practice of architecture in a way that demonstrates a profound understanding of its cultural and communicational possibilities.”
