Accounts Assistant

Piercy & Company is looking for an Accounts Assistant supporting the Finance Manager with business accounting activities.

The role would consist in assisting with basic administrative tasks and should be on hand to answer any queries raised by staff, external clients or providers. They will be expected to help document and maintain the business's finance procedures, updating and implementing them wherever necessary.

This is a part-time role, namely 3 days a week or the equivalent hours and allows some remote working. It is a great opportunity for individuals studying toward an accounting qualification or simply someone who needs time flexibility. The company is growing so the role has the potential of becoming full-time.

Daily tasks include:

—Invoice and expense claims processing
—Credit card expenses processing
—Credit Control
—Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers
—Banks’s reconciliation
—Raising sales invoices
—Liaising with third party providers, clients, and suppliers
—Basic administration
—Updating and maintaining procedural documentation

Job qualifications, skills, and experience

The candidate should have a degree in one of the following subjects:

—Business Studies

We are looking for 18-24 months previous experience as part of an accounts or credit control team, experience with Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel etc.) and evidence that AAT, CIMA or ACCA studies are underway.

—20 days holiday (pro rata) + bank holidays. After 2-years of service, holidays are bumped to 25 days

Annual salary £27,000 - £29,000 (pro rata) depending on experience
