New Business Manager (Maternity Cover, Contract Role until June 2023)

Piercy&Company is looking for a talented New Business Manager to join our London studio.

Piercy&Company is a London based practice of 80+ architects, designers, researchers and strategists working within a studio space we designed to support our passion for materials, form, technology and craft. We describe our studio as a total design house, a place for active production, dialogue and research. It is an intra and interdisciplinary workshop and the interactions that happen in the areas between and within disciplines are an important ingredient in our work.

With a range of architectural, interior and product design projects coming to completion, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced New Business Manager to create and garner new business opportunities for the company.

The primary objective of the role is to support the studio in winning new and strategic projects and to create outstanding pitching documentation and submissions.

The successful candidate will need knowledge and industry experience and contacts, have excellent written communication and graphic design skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and time pressures.

They will enjoy working proactively and collaboratively, especially at senior level with the wider New Business team that includes several Directors.

The ideal person for the role will be a great communicator and adept at managing multiple internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for an experienced new business professional to cover the maternity leave period and expect that they will have the relevant experience to hit the ground running. They will be passionate about design and architecture and be able to quickly grasp the studio ethos and new business strategy.

—Managing all enquiries that come in to the studio, filtering and presenting chosen ones to the senior management team
—Producing agendas and presenting at weekly New Business meetings and Monthly Management meetings
—Producing bids, pitches, EOIs, PQQs and client presentations
—Briefing the senior team ahead of networking events e.g. preparing guestlists, bios, etc.
—Working with the Communications Manager to check alignment with the communication and New Business strategies
—Maintaining and updating in-house databases, documents and project information

Required skills and experience:

—Good written and verbal communication skills
—Architectural industry experience and up to date contacts
—Proficiency in InDesign
—Knowledge of Photoshop
—Works well as part of a team and take initiative
—Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at one time

Remuneration is dependent upon experience.
