The Television Centre Penthouse Interiors
AHMM for Stanhope

Gifted with a timeless building that has great bones, volume and light, Piercy&Company undertook the space planning and interior design for five duplex apartments within the BBC Television Centre redevelopment in White City, West London.

Piercy&Company inverted the usual arrangements, placing the living spaces above the bedrooms to take full advantage of remarkable views of the London skyline. The Television Centre's Radial plan is expressed in the spacial arrangement of the apartments, with key datum lines revealed through materiality.

Fluted marble walls and textured timber panelling form an expressive and tactile palette of materials, avoiding novelty in favour of honest materials that are solid and timeless, like the beautiful original building.
