Fairfax House
Dorrington

Nestled in the heart of London’s law district near Chancery Lane, Fairfax House is a warm and inviting ‘ready to go’ workspace for Dorrington by Piercy&Company. Working within the characterful early 20th century building, Piercy&Company focused on minimal interventions with maximum impact, reworking the reception, entry corridor and the first floor to create carefully curated yet flexible and functional spaces. Piercy&Company’s design looked to the historic gardens of Gray’s Inn, a hidden green sanctuary close by to Fairfax House, and conceived of the workspace as a ‘sanctuary’ in the central London context. A palette of natural materials is set against deeper hues, warm materiality and an introduction of greenery both on the terrace and across the office is a wellbeing driven interpretation of the notion of a sanctuary in the city.
